Earlier in the year we reported on the installation of replacement swims on Lake Pepper, to help keep equipment cleaner and drier during the winter months. (Ironically!!) a very wet August and September delayed further progress, but provided the opportunity to trial the work completed on Swim 10.
Feedback has been very positive, although the general feeling was that the swims would be even better if they were larger.
The recent dry(ish!!) spell has allowed work to resume. And we’ve listened to the feedback with Swims 11 and 12 being increased in size to approx. 5m x 7m:
Swim 12 (pictured above) is nearing completion (there is some tidying up work to be done around the swim to repair the grass) and is available for use.
Swim 11 will be completed this week, after which work to upgrade Swim 9 and expand Swim 10 will be started.
