The Dave Wall Memorial is one of the most important events in the Cottington calendar, commemorating and celebrating the life of one of Cottington’s bailiffs – Dave Wall.
This year saw the competition fished in extremely challenging conditions. There was plenty of activity on the surface, but with surface fishing banned due to the presence of wildfowl on the water, and the high temperatures diminishing the fishes’ appetites, it was always going to be tough. One angler who defied the conditions was Ross Jukes who managed to land a new pb with this lovely 41lbs Mirror, from peg 15;
A stunning fish, one that Ross was rightly over the moon with, and which he celebrated in time honoured fashion!!
