Terms and Conditions:

1. Definitions

“Anglers”                                                             The person(s) fishing

1. About Us
   1. Cottington Lakes fishery is operated by Steed Partnership, whose business address is Cottington Court Farm, Sandwich Road, Sholden, Deal, Kent CT14 0AR.
2. The Contract
   1. These terms and conditions govern the sale of tickets to fish the specimen lakes at the fishery. Before purchasing tickets please ensure that you have read these terms and conditions carefully, and if you are unsure or unclear about any part of them, please ask for confirmation.
   2. Nothing provided by us constitutes a contractual offer capable of acceptance. Your order constitutes an offer that we may, at our discretion, accept.
3. Orders
   1. Orders may only be placed via the fishery’s web portal.
   2. Orders are applications for space(s) on your chosen lake. They do not confer any right to a specific swim(s) on that lake.
   3. Orders will be accompanied by an e-mail to the address provided by you, acknowledging the order and confirming payment of the deposit.
   4. You are responsible for checking receipt of the e-mail. If you do not receive an e-mail, please first check your junk/spam folder and then if you have still not received acknowledgement, please contact us via e-mail.
   5. You are responsible for checking the details within the e-mail to confirm that they are correct. If any of the information is not correct, please contact us by e-mail, explaining the error.
   6. In the event that the fishery is unable to fulfil an order on a specific lake, we reserve the right to offer another lake as an alternative, where space is available.
   7. Orders may be cancelled at any time by us. Orders cancelled by us will be accompanied by a full refund of any monies paid. This excludes cancellations under 4.9 below.
   8. As an alternative to refunds, you/anglers may select alternative available dates.
   9. Orders cancelled by us because of failure by anglers/guests to comply with the rules of the fishery will not attract any refund.
   10. Orders may be cancelled at any time by you. Orders must be cancelled in writing by e-mail (see 8.2).
   11. In the event of cancellations, deposits may, under certain circumstances, be refunded (please see our cancellation policy).
4. Price and Payment
   1. You must pay a deposit of 50% of the reservation costs at the time of booking.
   2. At the time you place your order, you will receive an e-mail confirming details of the deposit that you have paid (see 4. above.)
   3. The outstanding balance may be paid at any time up to but no less than 28 days prior to the date of your booking.
   4. You are responsible for ensuring that the balance is paid on time.
   5. Failure to pay any outstanding balance on time will result in your booking being cancelled and the space(s) being made available for others to book.
   6. Cottington Lakes fishery will not enter into any dialogue with you resulting from a booking being cancelled as a result of the balance not being paid on time.
5. Group Bookings
   1. In the event that you are booking space on one of the fishery’s lakes on behalf of a second party/parties, all anglers will be deemed to have read and accept our terms and conditions and have read and agree to abide by the fishery rules.
   2. Anglers accompanied by a non-fishing guest are responsible for ensuring that their guest has read and agrees to abide by the fishery rules.
   3. In the event of a group booking, if any angler or their guest(s) fails to comply with the fishery rules, the whole group will be deemed to have broken the rules and their order may, without warning, be cancelled.
6. Liabilities
   1. Anglers and their guests are responsible for their vehicle(s) (including motorcycles and bicycles) and any and all equipment whilst at the fishery. The fishery will not accept liability for any losses incurred by anglers/guests, other than any which may accidentally be directly caused by us.
   2. The fishery will not accept responsibility for losses incurred due to failure to comply with the fishery rules.
   3. The fishery will not accept any liability for accidents stemming from intoxication.
7. Cancellation Policy
   1. We understand that sometimes due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, it may be necessary to cancel a booking. In the unfortunate event that this happens we will be happy to refund the deposit in full, provided that the cancellation is made at least 28 days prior to the booking. No refund will be payable for cancellations made within 28 days of the booking. 
   2. For reservations made within 28 days of booking, payment must be made in full and in the event that it becomes necessary to cancel a reservation, no refund will be payable.
   3. Refunds, where payable, will be made to the card used to pay the deposit.
   4. Notice of cancellations must be e-mailed to cottingtonlakes@outlook.com
   5. By making a booking you confirm that you have read, acknowledge and accept this cancellation policy.
